Ahn Cheol-su 안철수’s lead in the Seoul mayor race is no more. (See TBR’s profile of Ahn here.) In the latest Realmeter poll that analyzed the Seoul mayor race from multiple angles, the Democratic Party 민주당’s Park Yeong-seon 박영선 is leading in every scenario. Park, a former journalist and Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises 중소기업부 장관 under the Moon Jae-in 문재인 administration, led in the overall field as the most favored Seoul mayor candidate (26.2%), overtaking Ahn (19.0%).
Park led in a three-way race (37.5%) against Ahn (22.7%) and Na Gyeong-won 나경원 of the People Power Party 국민의힘 (25.0%), as well as in a three-way race (37.7%) against Ahn (26.7%) and O Se-hun 오세훈 of the PPP (18.7%). In a head-to-head race, Park led Na 39.7% to 34.0%, O 40.6% to 29.7%, and Ahn 38.9% to 36.3%.
