The 22nd election for the National Assembly 국회 will be held on April 10, 2024, exactly a year from today.
According to a Gallup Korea poll conducted from April 4 to 6, 50% of respondents said they will vote for the opposition Democratic Party 민주당 in the next year’s Assembly election, while 36% said they will vote for the ruling People Power Party 국민의힘, reflecting the poor performance of President Yoon Suk-yeol 윤석열 대통령 and his party.
The Democrats received stronger approval ratings in every region except the conservative strongholds of Daegu 대구 and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province 경상북도.
